Listen now | Welcome to Courtside, Episode I. We discuss NYT v. Sullivan, a groundbreaking 1964 case about freedom of the press and speech. This is the key decision that allows the media to operate without getting sued (well, unless you are Fox News).
I really had not planned to subscribe to this podcast but after listening I find that I cab hardly wait for the next one. Neal you are without a doubt one of the favorite people that Ari has on The Beat..I find that between the two of you I get the equivalent of a college credit. I appreciate what you do and the passion you have for the Law is evident. Looking forward to the next podcast
Thank you Neal that was excellent. I can’t wait for the next installment. I love seeing you as a guest on different news shows. You always speak clear and concise and on point when speaking about a subject. I will definitely be a subscriber.
Congratulations on your podcast. You and Ari are an unbeatable team. I’ve been watching and listening to you on MSNBC for a number of years and learned so much about the law and your perspectives on the various legal entanglements of the former President. My only regret is that President Biden didn’t select you as the Attorney General as I’m confident justice would be served more swiftly. I am looking forward to more of your podcasts and hopefully your elevation during Biden’s next administration. All the best.
The great legal mind Taylor Swift Terrific podcast Sir. My one observation is that in a few spots, Ari was talking too fast. I’m at chemo this morning and had it on speaker for others to hear and had to play some parts back to be able to grasp all Ari was saying. I’ll be subscribing. 🙏
Neal. I admire and respect you. I'm disappointed that if we want to get all that your new site offers, we have to pay for it. if you want to give to charity, why don't you simply make a large donation yourself? This would enable those who can't afford a subscription to your site complete access to it as your friend Katie's is
Thank you Neal, you’ve opened my eyes to SCOTUS and given me a clearer understanding of many topics. Happily subscribed, great explanation of the difference btw Hillary’s documents issue and DJT. Your clear and sophisticated delivery helps give me ammo during discussions with the red side of my family.
Excellent podcast. I learned much about things I had never considered. Suggest you do not have background music during talking. For those even slightly hard of hearing, background sound makes it nearly impossible to understand the words. Thanks.
Disappointed you only managed to integrate Sullivan, karma, the Holocaust, John Marshall, independent local journalism, concurrences and dissents, arts, rap, poetry, power of words, i forget what else.
I subscribed because I loved this podcast with you and your partner in crime, er, I mean the law! Also, the credit card I used to subscribe was hacked within 24 hours of subscribing. Several thousands of dollars of fraudulent charges were rejected and the card has been shut down. No harm done. Probably a coincidence.
